Equal Opportunities Policy

p1

Complete Property Services is a company in the property maintenance industry committed to equal opportunities in employment practices and in service delivery.

Our policy covers advertising, recruitment, induction, conduct at work, promotion, conditions of service and our disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Our policies are regularly reviewed to ensure every individual is given fair treatment.

Employee Obligations

It is the duty of every individual involved with our work, to carry out their duties with regard to our Equal Opportunities Policies. In particular, deliberate acts of unlawful discrimination, derogatory racist or sexist remarks, and racial or sexual harassment directed towards other employees or members of the public, are treated as gross misconduct and may lead to dismissal.

Any complaint of discrimination made by an employee, or member of the public will be thoroughly and promptly investigated.

Equal Pay

Each of our employees is entitled to equal pay (and other contractual terms and conditions) with all other employees of the opposite sex, if they are doing work which is the same or broadly similar, or if the work they do has been rated as equivalent by job evaluation or in terms of the demands made on the worker.

Sex Discrimination

We do not discriminate:

  • in the arrangements made for deciding who is offered a job;
  • in the terms on which a job is offered;
  • in deciding who is offered a job;
  • in making opportunities available for promotion or training;
  • in the benefits, facilities, or services granted to employees;
  • in dismissals, or other unfavourable treatment of employees.

Race Relations

We do not discriminate against anyone because of race, colour, creed, nationality, ethnic or national origins. Complete Property Services understands and enforces The Race Relations Act and applies it to jobs and training.

Disabled Persons (Employment)

By law, the government requires employers with more than 20 staff to employ a quota of registered disabled people.  We recognise that it is unlawful not to employ a person on the grounds that they are disabled, when they can do the work just as well as an able person.
